Last night the 2020 Academy Awards was held at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center.
Of course, it was a star-studded night that featured talented entertainers dressed in beautiful attire. But most of all some took home an Oscar statue for the work they did on movies released in 2019.
The best actress in a leading role went to Renee Zellweger for her portrayal of Hollywood legend Judy Garland in the movie Judy.
The best actor in a leading role winner was Joaquin Phoenix for his performance in Joker. Along with winning an Academy Award, Phoenix also a Golden Globe, and Bafta Film Award for that same role.
Brad Pitt took home the best actor in a supporting role for the movie Once upon a Time… in Hollywood.
Laura Dern won for best actress in a supporting role for the movie Marriage Story.
The award for best animated feature film went to Josh Cooley, Mark Nielsen and Jonas Rivera Toy Story 4.
The best cinematography winner was Roger Deakins for 1917.
Jacqueline Duran won for best costume design for the movie Little Women.
The best directing award went to BongJoon Ho for the movie Parasite.
