Coronvirus Cases in the United States Rise to 12

The United States has 12 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.  Of the 337 people tested in the United States so far, 12 have tested positive, 225 have tested negative, and 100 tests are awaiting testing and results.  The cases of patients that have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus spread across three different states.   Currently, Arizona, California, Illinois, Massachusetts,  Washington, and Wisconsin have cases with individuals that traveled to China and contracted the virus or those that were in direct contact with a relative that contracted the virus in China.

Efforts have been made to limit the spread of the virus in the United States.   Those that have arrived in the United States after visiting Wuhan have been ordered by the CDC to quarantine themselves for at n up to 14 days.    Those that exhibited any symptoms were transported to a hospital for further testing.

China, where the virus was first detected has been dealing with soaring numbers of Coronavirus deaths and diagnoses.   The World Health Organization has reported that there are 37, 251 cases in China, while there have been 812 deaths in that country.
