A strain of the coronavirus, first been detected in the Asian city of Wuhan, China has become an international health crisis affecting people all over the globe. So far, the BBC.com has reported that there are 888 reported cases of infections on the coronavirus and 26 deaths in the country of China. This is one of the busiest times of the year for the country as people all over travel to celebrate Spring Festival /Chinese New Year. Because of the outbreak the city of Wuhan and other neighboring cities have been placed on lockdown.
The United States has been screening passengers that have been traveling from the city of Wuhan.
So far there are two confirmed cases of the Coronavirus. Both of these cases include individuals that have traveled recently from the city of Wuhan and then back to the United States. The first US case confirmed by the CDC is of man that traveled visited Wuhan China and traveled back to the United States on January 15, 2020. The second US case confirmed by the CDC is a woman to Wuhan, China and came back to the United States on January 13, 2020. She is being treated and quarantined in a hospital in Illinois.
